Montasio is a mountain semi-hard cheese made from cow\'s milk produced in the regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, in Northeastern Italy. DOP (PDO)* certified.

It has a creamy and open texture, a pale yellow colour and a natural non-edible rind. Montasio is perfect as a condiment for pasta, rice and potato gnocchi. It can also be inserted in omelettes, lasagna and frico, which is a typical Friulian dish that can be eaten as a main course or as a single dish, usually accompanied by polenta.

Cacio Nero di Pienza Pecorino Cheese (150g) - Val D'Orcia

Cacio Nero di Pienza is a typical Tuscan cheese made from sheep\'s milk. Characterised by a semi-hard, white-coloured and flaky texture, its taste different form the classic Pecorino cheese as Cacio Nero di Pienza is more delicate, dry and intense. The typical black colour indicates it is a more aged cheese - at least 40 days. 

This cheese is best consumed on its own, but is also excellent with walnuts, honey, red fruits and spicy mustards. It also goes perfectly with full-bodied red wines such as Aglianico and Chianti.

Tuscan Pecorino PDO (150g) - Caseificio Manciano

Pecorino Toscano PDO is a classic fresh, soft paste sheep’s cheese, made from pasteurized sheep’s milk with the addition of selected indigenous cultures, rennet and salt. DOP (PDO)* certified.

The minimum aging is 20 days as required by the production regulations to affix the PDO mark in ink. It is eaten usually after 30-45 days, and its sweet and delicate flavor evokes the scent of Maremma and Tuscan pastures.

Today the Manciano Cheesemaking Factory produces about 435,000 wheels of Pecorino Toscano PDO annually, both fresh and aged, distributed in Italy and exported worldwide. Fresh Pecorino is known for its slightly straw-colored crust, white paste, tenderness and fragrant, distinctive flavour.  If it could be described all in one word, it would be “sweet.” The aged product, however, has a crust ranging from yellow to deep yellow, a pale-yellow paste and a fragrant flavor, intense but never spicy.

The spicy version of Gorgonzola is obtained without the addition of milk cream and has a longer maturation; the grain thickens and becomes a gray-green-blue web, the body remains compact and very pasty.
