A synergy between art and wine: a flowing and elegant female figure in true Art Nouveau style conveys the seductive nature of this wine, whose captivating label is a restyling of the original poster by the artist Bozzovich, publicising Ocone wines in the aftermath of WWI, and from which the wine takes its name.

In the nose, it offers hints of red fruit in spirit and blackberry, with floral overtones of dried violets. Notes of dried fruit (carob), spices (cloves and liquorice), chocolate, tobacco and caramel, complete its aroma. On the palate, it has a full and pleasantly soft body, elegant and slightly astringent.

Barbaresco is one of the finest red wines of Piedmont. It is warm and balanced red, with a dense and delicate tannic texture and hints of raspberry, blueberry and currant. It has good acidity and a persistent aftertaste.

The crops of Barbaresco are concentrated in the province of Cuneo and in the iconic Langhe area of the Langhe, ideal for the Nebbiolo grapes. It is an elegant wine, to be paired with pasta with meat sauces and risotto with truffles or mushrooms.

Classic blend of Nerello Mascalese (80-85%) and Nerello Cappuccio (15-20%), Benanti’s Etna Rosso comes from sandy, volcanic, mineral-rich soils located on the north, south-west and south-east slopes of the volcano. The vines, from 10 to 60 years old, are cultivated both with traditional saplings and espaliers. The result is an exemplary Etna Rosso for immediacy and territorial frankness.

Full ruby red to the eye, the bouquet is intense, with nuances of vanilla and ripe fruit. On the palate it is immediately elegant, harmonic, of remarkable persistence, with sapidity and minerality at the forefront on the good body. Perfect with earthy first courses, red meats and mature cheeses. A versatile wine that can also be paired with fish or white meat dishes.

Cannonau di Sardegna Lillové 2019 (75cl) - Gabbas

In the region of Abruzzo, Montepulciano reigns as the uncrowned king of wine. Cultivated for centuries, it can age for a very long time, but it is also often appreciated for its fruity quality in its youth. This version is aged for about 12 months, and features black fruit on the nose, but on the mouth spices like black pepper as well as liquorice and roasted coffee.

Titinge Riserva is a pure Montepulciano d’Abruzzo red wine made from the oldest Fontefico vines. After 6 months of ageing in steel barrels, it is then moved to oak ones for a further 24 months of ageing in oak barrels and then another 12 in the bottle. The title is a play on words about the wine\'s exceptional colour intensity. Ti (you) + tinge (coloured) references its deep hue, which is all down to it being from the “Pàstino” vineyard. Their wines are all from a single cru, which means that each different type of wine comes from a single vineyard - a real rarity in the wine world.

Best paired with red meat and game. It is also excellent with duck breast, baked guinea fowl, and medium-aged cheeses.

Merlot Collio DOC 2017 (75cl) - Borgo Conventi

Merlot Collio DOC is ruby red in colour with violet tinges. The nose displays vibrant and concentrated aromas of violet, wild berry, cherry and plum, followed by light elegant hints of vanilla, coffee and bitter chocolate.
