The grapes are picked by hand in boxes. The thermo controlled fermentation takes a few days to extract all the polyphenolic potential of the grapes. The malolactic fermentation and the subsequent maturation are made in stainless steel tanks and big barrels. It is bottled in June after the harvest.

DOCG* Certification: This classification denotes the highest quality recognition for Italian wines. The Titinge Riserva is a pure Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from the oldest Fontefico vines. After 6 months of ageing in steel barrels, it is then moved to oak ones for a further 24 months of ageing in oak barrels and then another 12 in the bottle. The title is a play on words about the wine\'s exceptional colour intensity. Ti (you) + tinge (coloured) references its deep hue, which is all down to it being from the “Pàstino” vineyard. Their wines are all from a single cru, which means that each different type of wine comes from a single vineyard - a real rarity in the wine world.
