San Lorenzo Rosso Conero 2016 (75cl) - Umani Ronchi
Brilliant ruby red colour with garnet tints. The nose is sweet, predominantly fruity, with typical notes of morello cherry and soft spice. Rich and pulpy in the mouth, flavourful and pleasantly harmonious, with silky tannins. The long finish is austere and intensely fruity. A beautiful introduction to traditional Italian grape varities, yet handled and vinified in a modern fashion. Classic, yet modern.
Particularly suitable for going with stuffed pasta, grilled dishes, spit- roasted pork, game and braised dishes, as well as a rich cheeseboard of mature and tangy cheeses.

San Lorenzo takes its name from the vineyard of the same name in the municipality of Osimo from which it originates. With its outstanding impact in terms of flavour and the enfolding warmth of its rounded tannins, it is a wine that is intended to express all the potential of the combination between its terroir and the Montepulciano varietal. 'Rosso Conero' is the name given to the resulting wine elaborated from the Montepulciano grape, hailing not from Abruzzo as most would think but in this case from the Marche. These characteristics are augmented by the contribution from the oak lasks which are kept in the picturesque cave at Osimo, in which San Lorenzo is aged.
Ingredients: Montepulciano 100%. IT MAY CONTAIN SULPHITES. Abv 13.5 %.
