It pairs very well with flavor-rich starters, asparagus-based risottos and frittatas, grilled or fried fish, crustaceans, and white-meat dishes.

Borgo Conventi owes its name to a legend of Farra d’Isonzo, according to which, Count Strassoldo, locally known as “il Rizzardo”, donated a piece of land to the Dominican friars who then built the first monastery of the area. The same plot of land is today the heart of the Tenuta Borgo Conventi estate where crafting premium quality wines is the core mission: 30 hectares of prime vineyards straddle two of the most suitable wine growing areas of the region, Isonzo and Collio.
The sediments left behind by the flooding of the River Isonzo enrich the soil of the fields along its course. And the vineyards of the Tenuta Borgo Conventi estate are nurtured by the mineral rich soil of the right bank of the river. Thanks to the varied microclimate of the area, in 1985 Borgo Conventi chose to plant vineyards of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Friulano, Sauvignon, Refosco dal peduncolo rosso, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Varieties of grapes that yield young fresh wines that recall the scents of wild flowers.
